Last January I made a new year's resolution to post to our blog. I am sorry to say that didn't happen. Now that it is a new year I will try this again. We had a very busy fall with some wonderful families, a few great seniors and a couple of sports teams.
Wedding Proposal. We even photographed our first marriage proposal. Last November 19, we met Michael and Devan at Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin. We hid out of sight to catch the moment. After the hugs and kisses, it was clear she said yes, we made ourselves visible to the happy couple and had them pose for a few pictures. It was a great day.
Tradition. Last April, 2016 we were asked to photograph Hilary's bridal portrait, the traditional way, in the studio. Hilary wanted to the same style portrait as her mother and grandmother before her. The dress was originally Hilary's grandmothers, her mother Julie had the dress remade and wore it on her wedding day. Hilary again remade the dress to wear on her wedding day. It was a beautiful dress and Hilary was absolutely gorgeous.
McKinley Turns Two! Last September we had MAK all to ourselves, so we sneaked her into the studio, dressed her up in a dress from a friend and photographed her two year old session. Later we surprised her parents with a special delivery 20x24 canvas wrap for Mckinely's birthday. MAK posed beautifully for her PawPaw, we had lots of fun. I love this portrait and so did her parents.
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary. To follow up on our family portraits for 2016. We started the year off with the Wickramasinghe's 25th wedding anniversary celebrated with a family portrait and a party with friends and family.
Sisters. My sister-in-law asked us to photograph her mother Barbara and aunt Linda, while she was in town visiting. We are very fond of Barbara and was happy to do so. Barbara celebrated her 80th birthday this last year.
Two families join as one. Rachel and Gray Taylor recently married and has joined their two families as one. I love this, what better way to combine the two families then with a family portrait. We met them out at Sun City, Georgetown, it was a little hot and humid this August evening, but for August it wasn't that bad. We have had hotter days and the session turned out great.
Christmas gift. December 2015, Ben Youngblood and crew, contacted us about giving their mother a family portrait for Christmas. So we helped them wrap up a frame with a gift certificate from our studio. This past spring, I contacted Roxanne about scheduling her family's session. She indicated to me that they wanted to delay until the fall because they might be adding a member to their family. Nick finally proposed to Amiee and their wedding is in the plan, so we finally scheduled the family session. Here are some of the great portraits we got from the Youngblood's session.
